3 year olds

Have 3 candles in their birthday cupcake!

Make twisters with 2 liter bottles, with Jeremy the Chief Extraordinaire!

With a 7 year old brother who apparently loves creepy mustaches.

And a 6 month old, who likes to eat the flowers from my hair.

Ayden's birthday party was nice. It was a beautiful sunny day.
We laid on a blanket together and took a quick nap.
The world's greatest grandma put this shindig on herself! (She did it for me since I've been feeling so under the weather...how'd I get so lucky!)
It was quite the fiesta.
Taco bar included.
And to top it off we had old fashion ice cream cones with our cupcakes!
I can't remember the last time I had Neapolitan in a cone.
It was the best thing I've had in a long time.
I felt like a kid again.
Lizard hunting included.
Thanks Grandma for doing what you do best!

This is what happens...

when you fall out of a tree...

I guess it could have been worse...no broken bones.

PS

I am missing the posts from the Frates Baby Farm.
I love hearing her baby-catchin' tales.

Me & my date

If there's one thing to know about me is that I love movies.
Love used lightly.

To me, a good night is:
home. good food. my family. and a movie.

The husband of all time has been working nights this week and in my sickdom, I've relied on the new movies on my tv's On Demand for company. Splendid, sweet company.

Let me tell you...On demand is dangerous. That and Target will be my demise.

Anyway, I watched Twilight.
I'll be honest, I am a sucker (no pun intended), with a capital S for romantic movies.

The movie was good. But Bella was eh...
She was strangely awkward and never smiled.

When your really in love, you smile.
The kind of smile that comes randomly when you think of their face or a sweet memory rushes on by.
A smile that lights up your eyes and makes you giggle.

Overall, it was good company for 2 hours.
I'd watch it again.

Have a good weekend friends.
I'll be in bed most likely. With 7 up. crackers. and maybe a few movies.

Ode to Bagels

I don't know what I would do without you my dear sweet bagel.
You are my cure when I am feeling sick.
You keep me full, and the nausea at bay.
Thank you sweet, sweet bagel!
You make my life possible!

3

This beautiful boy of mine is 3 today!

Today we are going to eat pancakes until we puke.

Talk about snails, turtles and spider webs. All very interesting conversation for a 3year old.

Dance to Buddy Holly because that's what we do.

Eat cupcakes for dinner.

Snuggle. Because you are so good at it.

Tell you I love you over and over again.

And how lucky I am that God blessed me with you.

Happy Birthday Aydee-Boo!

Week-End

It's Officially Hit Me Like A Ton Of Bricks...morning sickness...actually let's be fair and call it what it is...all day sickness.

I came out of my cave once on Sunday afternoon for a friends BBQ and in hopes that my sweet friend could soothe my ailments with one of her concoctions. And she did.

Kyle would say, "Just lay in bed. It's okay."
Then I'd say in my defense, "But I need to deal with this. I can't lay in bed forever. I have work on Monday!"
My husband's response was, "You should have been a Marine."

Well maybe...
But...

Regardless I forgot how hard this is.

So for now, please don't approach me if:
1) You've decided to unload the entire bottle of perfume onto your body.
2) You smell like bacon.
3) Or any meat for that matter.
4) Or you just ate popcorn.

Happy Monday!

The Sleepover

They love their "T"!

I bet Grandma & Grandpa were pretty tired after the sleepover, but I'm sure it was pretty lonely the next day after all the cousins parted ways.

Things I hope I never Forget...

Peanut seeds in the mail from my Grandma.

She is lovely!

Man on Wire

Rent this movie. It is beyond amazing!

It is about a man who in 1974 walked on a wire between the North and South towers of the World Trade Center.

I had butterflies the entire time watching this movie. It blows you away and it's filmed so beautifully.

Sicko

Date Night started out good. Except some pregnancy symptoms decided to drop in for a visit. Lucky me!
  • Nausea, thanks to the sandwich I just had to have which I guess the baby did not like.
  • Then the shakes.
  • Then my heart felt like it was going to pound out of my chest.
I ran to the car just to lay my head down and for the world to stop spinning.
The night ended with me in bed by 9, sound asleep.
My husband alone watching TV eating peanuts. Poor guy.

New Post Button

Why are you so addicting?

Camelia's

Our office got to eat lunch yesterday at the Burrage Mansion for the Camellia Luncheon.

This place is stunning!

And odd.

The best part was being able to go down in the basement where supposedly there are ghosts of Nuns you can still hear singing.

I didn't hear any Nuns. But it did smell like the Pirates of the Caribbean and we got to walk thru tunnels. Which was amazingly creepy!

On my way out I saw this...hilarious.

Curry Party

Last night we went out to dinner to celebrate the double lines.

Although faint, I've realized that, yes, you can be just a little bit pregnant. 4 weeks and 1 day to be exact. I have a darling poppy seed in my belly.

To celebrate we had Thai!

I had Yellow Curry. I could eat this everyday for life, I love it so much.

This is my face, while I think of my curry!

The Desert

Growing up in the desert as a kid, here are a few things I remember:

  • There are rabbit turds everywhere.

  • Our bus stop was a cactus field...?? It was traumatizing on so many levels.
There were so many times a poor soul would be goofin' off and end up in a chola bush covered head to toe in cactus balls.

And our bus driver was a rather large black mama and you know how small those isles are in the bus?...so you were either blessed to have her large behind in your face OR her droopy mammaries.

Anyway, point being ... I didn't appreciate the true beauty of the desert.

Saturday I took the boys to the living desert in Palm Desert. They had so much fun.

On the way home my mind wandered...

I relished at the beauty of the mountains and how the light hits it, the color of the sky, the temperature of the air...I even got a lil' welcomed sunburn.
I took my time coming home just so I could sight see while the duo slept in the back seat.
