the Pita Pit

If you haven't been to Clairemont, let me tell you it's awesome!
We went down to meet my dad for a impromtu lunch and we went to this place called, "The Pita Pit." Endless pitas...my choice: hummus pita. Take a peek:

Too bad there isn't one closer. It was delicious.

After lunch we walked around downtown, photo ops with grandpa with his grandkids by a tree....

My dad is so great and loves his grandkids so much. It was a good Saturday until Ayden had a complete melt down due to lack of nap but it was a great day none the less.

Storm Troopers

Brandon and Ayden are obsessed with costumes, everyday is Halloween at our house. It's awesome. The beauty of imagination! For some time it was pirates, then magicians, then ghosts, and now it's storm troopers.

A new comic figurine shop opened in Redlands and they had a bunch of characters at the opening: Storm troppers, Lara Croft, the Predetor, and Jack Sparrow...they were blown away that their favorite characters were standing in front of them...so needless to say they are now officially storm troopers.

Ayden's Face is classic! Brandon is frozen.

I love that they have a great imagination and love to act that out. I never want to stop them from that. That is one of the best parts about being a kid and it makes me happy to see them have such a good time pretending.

Birthday Weekend

Wow! Non-stop birthday parties this weekend. All involving cupcakes, and kiddy pools. The boys had a blast. It's great to see them bonding with other kids, instantaneously! No boundaries, no issues, just friends right off the bat! I wish as adults it was that easy.

Yesterday at church they talked about our recent trip to Romania. It was so great to see the rest of the team, they really are our family. We love them so much. Hearing a recap of what happened made my heart yearn to be over there again and never leave. We are already planning our next adventure. Winter and Spring! Romania will be our 2nd home! Let the fundraising began.

Romania

I've waiting a few days to write about Romania. Not because I wasn't anxious about sharing the amazing, miraculous adventures we embarked on over there, but because I was still processing everything that happened and really wanted to portray it in the best way imaginable. I was the first to leave from the team of 10 who went. It was the hardest thing I think I've ever had to do, but I knew I needed to come home to my boys. It was time.

Although my departure was bittersweet, I can relish in the fact that I was part of something so true and so God-filled. I will be changed forever. My husband will be changed forever. To be a part of a team of beautiful, inspiring, selfless, humble people was beyond words. I love them all to the depths.

It was so awesome to see him in that light; ministering to the youth in a way he only could. How fascinated they were with him, from the tattoos' on his skin to the stories he told...they truly loved him. They called him: Ursu, which is bear in Romanian. To see their faces when they heard the worship band was so pure and full of life. You could tell it was something they have never heard before. The camp was incredibly beautiful, beyond words. It was nature at it's highest and God at His highest.

Here is some of what we saw:

we stopped in the middle of a rainstorm for a picture.

at our pastor's dinner

the cabins at the camp.

a view from the camp.

my group. these girls were great.

view from our hotel: hotel europa.

the centre of Cluj.

I'm write more later.
love always.

Booger

For those who have never met our dog, "Booger," (part English Bulldog, part pig)...here is a quick introduction.
He has a really good face. A tattoo. A mean overbite. And loves feet!

Missing in Action...pictures on my computer!

FINALLY!
Went through all the photos on my computer...whew! it was a mess. I am probably the most unorganized, organized person in the world.
ANYWAY, here are some good photos from the last few months.
A few from the fourth of july, making pizza's on fathers day (the best $50 pizza's ever), sea world...and so on. enjoy.
