Vintage Metal Trays
I started picking up vintage trays at the thrift store with no real purpose in mind, except that I just really loved them.
And the other week I decided to hang them on the wall in my kitchen. It was the only wall space downstairs that I was having trouble decorating.
And I really love how its turning out.

When you get old...
...Buying furniture really does make you so happy!
Case in point...our new favorite piece: An Eames replica recliner!
The couple we bought it from have the most incredible mid century styled house. I wish I could show you pictures!
Kyle & I walked in there and literally couldn't even talk because it was so amazing!
I think they were sad to see their chair go...
Isn't it beautiful?

Lost

Well, I lost my day job.
But what most fear, I am so thankful for.
I have been released back to where my heart belonged:
to my home.
I came home that morning looked all around me and felt so good.
I started laundry.
Put away what lil' items I had from my office.
And swept the floor.
Tasks I usually tried to fit in between baths, homework or dinner...
now became the highlight of my day!
I swept with a smile.
Relishing in my days ahead and knowing that I am home with my boys, loving them, playing with them & nurturing them.
Then I heard from the bathroom....
"Mommmmm.....wipe my butt!"
It's so good to be home.
